  • These handmade IKAT cushions are the perfect addition to your home. They come in a variety of stunning designs and colours, plus there are various sizes. You can mix and match or find a style that you love. They are made in a traditional IKAT way (Read my blog about how IKATs are made)with one side velvet and other side is cotton fabric. This offers the perfect mix of luxurious looks and practicality - plus they are lovely to the touch. Please note that the price is for the cushion cover only. Due to the traditional way of making these IKATs, there may be some imperfections in the fabric or colour which we believe only adds to  IKAT's uniqueness.

  • We love these cushions because they can work in any room of the house. The range of colours and designs mean you will find one that fits in with your decor. They add comfort to your seating areas but they will also become a design feature. One word of warning though - you might love them so much that you start making other decorative decisions in your room based on your Ikat Cushions!

  • Dry cleaning only

IKAT CUSHIONS

To make IKAT fabric, the threads are dyed before weaving using an ancient tie dye technique   instead of printing or painting a design on after fabric is woven.

Just imagine the difficulty the weaver has lining up the dyed yarns so the design appears perfectly in the finished fabric. The more colours and complicated patterns IKAT has, the more difficult it is to weave perfectly hence the blurriness.

We love the fact that none of the IKAT fabrics are exactly the same and it has imperfections in the patterns. In our opinion this only shows someone put such an effort making this amazing fabric and only adds to its uniqueness.
