To make IKAT fabric, the threads are dyed before weaving using an ancient tie dye technique instead of printing or painting a design on after fabric is woven.
Just imagine the difficulty the weaver has lining up the dyed yarns so the design appears perfectly in the finished fabric. The more colours and complicated patterns IKAT has, the more difficult it is to weave perfectly hence the blurriness.
We love the fact that none of the IKAT fabrics are exactly the same and it has imperfections in the patterns. In our opinion this only shows someone put such an effort making this amazing fabric and only adds to its uniqueness.
Absolutely perfect a stunning velvet cushion for my home. Good quality and beautiful pattern.
The cushions are very nice
Just what i wanted, beautifully made, great quality fabrics, excellent customer service, very quick delivery. You couldn’t ask for more from a seller and i would happily recommend and make more purchases in future.
This item looks like a cushion you can get at snappy snaps- where a picture is put onto fabric. This is apparently a handloom- but if you are look at it and feel it the quality is not worth the price.
Gorgeous cushion. Great service
Great, very professional retailer. Love the cushion
